Self Service

Grocery stores are not the only ones that have self service now days. As I walked in to get breakfast at Jack in the Box the other day I noticed this kiosk by the counter. I approached it thinking it was one of those kiosk for surveys or something like that but turns out it was a self order kiosk. It's the first self service kiosk I've seen in a fast food restaurant.

The kiosk was easy to use and understand. It's what we call user friendly. The kiosk came in

handy since we didn't have to wait in line to order. It takes both cash and plastic. The only thing is you have to wait for your order to get your cup or you can simply interrupt the order taker and ask for your cup. After all your order has been place and I think you deserve to get your cup right away... right?

No standing in line for us.

Thing like this make me wonder what this world will be like 10-20 years from now. It will eventually come to having very few people operate a business.

Messy!

Really?... Big Lots has some great things for some good prices but the stores are always a mess. At times you can't even get through with you shopping cart because of all the junk in the ground.

I think Big Lots needs to hiring more people to work the sales floor and customers need to have common courtesy by not making a mess and most importantly have CONTROL of your kids.

Locked Condoms

I saw this at K-Mart and found it very interesting. I totally disagree with stores locking condoms and making them a bit less accessible to the public.

I have worked Health & Beauty department before during my time with Target and I know that being in the condom aisle is uncomfortable for some. Some people simply avoid the area if there are other individual browsing near by. During that time I have also worked at the registers and also noticed that customers are afraid, embarrassed, or uncomfortable during the check out process. Knowing that, I certainly know that people will be even more uncomfortable asking someone to unlock and grab condoms, lube or what not out of the locked case.

I spoke to a store associate about the matter trying to figure out the reasoning behind the locked condoms, lube, fem products etc... the reason why they are locked up is simply because they are high theft items which didn't surprise me since I myself have seen empty condoms boxes laying around the stores while shopping and even more while working during my Target days. Still I don't agree with items like this being locked up. I would rather have people walk in grab what they need and take care of their business.

For those who are uncomfortable purchasing condoms... DON'T! Everyone has sex, everyone has a need for condoms at one point or another. Be an adult and go on with your business. People will not judge you for buying condoms. You are doing the right thing by being safe.

For those who stealing condoms... DON'T! FYI Condoms are given away for FREE! Go to any clinic and I am sure they will be more than happy to give you a hand full of condoms at no charge to you.
